When KustomTech custom pumps make sense

On a slim bar or a stripped build there is simply no room left for a housing. A remote mount solves that and allows a shorter lever, so a cleaner line. It also makes hydraulic clutch conversions much easier to plumb.

What to plan for

A longer hose, a solid bracket and a clean run. The body has to stay reachable for bleeding and level checks. On the other hand, avoid mounting it too low: the reservoir must sit above the bleed point.

Bore and feel

As on a handlebar model, the bore decides how hard the lever feels. A small diameter suits a single piston caliper, a large one a multi-piston setup. The figure appears on each listing, in inches and in millimetres.

Bleeding and fluid

A remote circuit traps an air bubble more easily. So take the time for a slow bleed, and repeat it the next day if needed. DOT 4 suits the whole range and should be replaced every two years.
