🗾 The Yokohama spirit

Away from metropolitan noise, Yokohama builds with a quiet, surgical precision. Every bolt is polished, every weld is a piece of work. The Basara Nomads and the region’s legendary garages defined an aesthetic in which white — the colour of mourning and of purity in Japanese folklore — became a rider’s mark of distinction. Wearing the Shiro Oni is wearing that code: the silhouette of a lone demon riding in total discipline.

🧤 Why the long gauntlet cuff

The high cuff is not styling for its own sake. It is inherited from the motorcycle pioneers of the 1940s and 50s.

• Real protection: before technical textiles existed, the long cuff was the only barrier against wind, rain, gravel and tar thrown up from the road.
• Jacket-to-glove seal: it creates a tunnel of protection between the sleeve of a leather jacket and the glove, so air cannot rush up the arms on a long run aboard a screenless chopper.

The long cuff of the Shiro Oni closes on a strap fastened by a custom metal stud engraved Hold Fast. 🛡️ Comfort and protection: the quilted panel

The back of the hand and the knuckles carry a diamond quilted panel. That padded stitch work does two things at once:

• Impact and abrasion: it absorbs handlebar vibration and shields against rubbing, road spray and debris.
• Articulated comfort: by following the natural movement of the hand it removes pressure points, so the fingers fold freely from the first mile — which matters on a rigid chopper.

🧵 Inside: the lining

Under the patinated white leather, the Shiro Oni hides a carefully chosen inner lining. Soft against the skin, it prevents irritation on hot days while holding just enough warmth for cold autumn and spring mornings.
