Description
The tanker jacket was designed for US Army armoured crews in the Second World War: short enough not to catch inside a tank, warm enough for an open turret in winter. It soon spread beyond the tank corps and became one of the most copied jackets of the war.
Why riders like it
The short waist and knitted waistband stay in place in the riding position, and the blanket-type wool lining keeps the cold out. The outer is 330 g/m² cotton, the lining 440 g/m² wool, closed by an authentic 1940s Talon zip with a left-hand opening.

Take your usual size. The short cut is part of the design: it should finish at the waist.
