Description

The Cricketeer takes its cue from British sports shoes of the 1930s, when cricket was played in leather and stitched soles. Pike Brothers turns it into a sturdy everyday shoe in black cowhide, with traditional Budapester punching across the toe and sides.

Goodyear welted

The sole is stitched to a welt in the Goodyear tradition: the shoe holds its shape, stands up to years of wear and can be resoled by a cobbler instead of thrown away. It is made in Portugal.

How to wear it

With cuffed raw denim, chinos or wool trousers, it dresses up a workwear outfit without making it stiff. The leather is thick, so give it a few days to break in.
