Historically, the Boonie Hat was originally worn in 1967 during the Vietnam War by the US military. It is very symbolic and represents THE jungle hat for the US military.
This bob is very popular to complement or replace the American baseball caps.
Baseball caps were worn during military service during and after World War II.
At that time, the Boonie Hat was a popular part of clothing for all services and was complementary to the military uniform.
